Aidan Robert Flipse was born on September 9, 2004 with a series of complicated congenital heart defects. Following eight months and 8 days of life, including three open heart surgeries, Aidan’s life on this earth ended. Though short in length, his life and story impacted thousands of people, teaching them the precious gift that life is. Despite his physical struggles, Aidan displayed incredible strength and resolve. His smile was contagious. Because of these traits, Aidan’s parents nicknamed him “Little Braveheart”. The Braveheart Foundation was started as a result of Aidan’s life. It is our hope that this foundation will serve as a source of hope and tangible assistance to the CHD community.
